Welcome to 5th grade! This will be my 4th year at Abernathy Elementary teaching 5th grade Science and Social studies and my 6th year teaching Science. I have previously taught 4-8 science in Lubbock ISD and Celeste ISD. I am eager to get this year started and start learning together.
A little about me...
I am originally from Denton, Texas and moved to Abernathy with my husband, Coach Corbin, in 2013. We have a beautiful little girl, Cambry, two dogs, Bodie and Clyde and a fish named Blue.
I graduated from North Central Texas College with an Associate's Degree in Farm and Ranch Management and then from Texas Woman's University with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary studies.
I just recently finished up my course work for my Master's Degree from the University of North Texas in Educational Leadership and will be completing my internship this fall with Mrs. Taubert and graduating in December!
Coach Corbin and I enjoy being outdoors and traveling to see our families. We are both looking forward to a great Antelope season and awesome school year. Go Lopes!
I am excited for AES to have been accepted into the No Excuses University network of schools and look forward to the fun times we have ahead of us. We are lucky to have not only a classroom, but a fully equipped science lab as well. Students will spend time in the classroom and the lab as we progress through the year.
