Welcome to First Grade! I am so excited to see what the 2017-2018 school year will bring. My name is Tamara Riley. When I was a child, it was my dream to teach. I attended South Plains College in Levelland, TX and received my Associate of Science degree. After SPC, I attended Texas Tech University and received my Bachelor's degree. I moved to Abernathy after marrying my husband, Matt. He is involved in agriculture/farming and is an insurance agent at Clark Riley Insurance. I have lived in Abernathy for almost 10 years and love raising my family here. We have two boys, Bill is five and Hank will turn two in December. 

 

I believe in education and I feel it should be enjoyable, engaging and memorable. We will strive to accomplish this in my room this year! I love a strong parent-teacher relationship. I am excited to have you take part in your child's school life. Throughout the year we will have projects, parties and events; parent-teacher conferences; lunch dates and volunteer options.
